Please join us for our General PTA Meeting this Thursday, November 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the school lunchroom.  Childcare is provided at no charge for school age kids in the school gym.

Agenda items include:

1. Katie Stemp, a Schmitz Park parent and owner of Seattle Farm School will present her ideas for how the Dakota substation property across from the new Genesee Hill school site could be used to benefit our elementary students and the community at large with modern day Home Economics curriculum – gardening, cooking, sewing and environmental education, as well as provide a multi-purpose gathering space for parents, staff and other neighborhood groups.
2. Building Transition Committee discussion and update – this committee will lay out a work plan for making sure that we have everything in place to hit the ground running at the Genesee Hill building in September. The committee will be co-chaired by our assistant principal, Ms. Dunn, and our PTA Vice President, Kelley O’Connor, and we are now looking for several staff members and parents to join them in rolling up their project management sleeves.
