This year’s Move-A-Thon was Friday May 17, 2019
Fundraising continues through Friday, June 2nd 2019!!
The Move-A-Thon is a fitness celebration and fundraiser for Genesee Hill Elementary. Students collect pledges and earn money for each lap they walk, jog, or run around a 1/10-mile course on the lower parking lot for 30 minutes. Movers should be able to complete 10 – 30 laps in the time allowed.
We need family support for students raising funds.

Move-A-Thon Fundraising Goal: Our goal is $50,000. All proceeds go to the PTA General Fund for programs THIS YEAR which has helped to support core fundamental needs like our reading tutors, recess supervisors, school supplies, and programs like Passport, visual arts, library, and physical education. Now is the time to ask neighbors, family, and friends if they can support your student and our school.

If you are volunteering for any of the lap counter positions or class leaders/movers, please add 15 minutes to the front end and back end of the run time, as we need you there early, and to stay for 15 minutes after!
NEW THIS YEAR– THE SPIRIT AWARD!!! This year we have added a little fun for our volunteers – Spirit Awards! If you are a lap counter or classroom leader, come dressed in your group’s color and bring the fun! The 2 most spirited groups will win!! Students are encouraged to get in the spirit too and dress in their class color.
Please dress appropriately, wear tennis shoes, and bring rain gear if it’s rainy. See color chart below

Genesee Hill Elementary, students are taught to think about their goals every day. And for our upcoming Move-A-Thon event, the entire school is working towards one healthy, enriching goal: to raise $50,000 to support core fundamentals for every student at our school.
On Friday, May 17th, will be Move-A-Thon by walking, running or skipping, with Mr. Kischner and the Fox Mascot! All students participate with their class, for 30 minutes, and volunteers help to track laps and encourage the kids throughout the event.
Did you know that physical activity helps kids enhance self-esteem, build social skills, grow strong bones and create better balance?
This is a big fundraiser for us each year and this year we have a stretch goal of $50,000! If we achieve our goal, the entire school will enjoy an ice cream social! You can help us raise funds by donating today – any amount is helpful and so much appreciated! Please consider sharing our campaign with your social networks, as well. Genesee Hill School PTA is a 501(c)3, so all donations are tax-deductible!
