Kindergarten – Class of ’33

Trick or Treating Costume Parade October 31 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm

We’re excited to invite our kinder families to a trick or treating costume parade from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm October 31! We’ll have two parade routes – one west of California and one east of California – and families can choose to do the route closer to them or to do both.

We’re asking families that are interested in passing out treats to volunteer to be on the parade route, and based on those houses, we’ll create a map of the parade routes.  We’re also asking all interested kinders to make their own paper jack-o’-lanterns at home and those jack-o’-lanterns will be placed in the yards of participating trick or treating houses.

We’ll be taking precautions to ensure this parade is safe and keeps people healthy distances from each other. All kids and adults must follow those precautions to participate. For full details and to sign up to hand out treats on the parade route, please see the cohort email sent out October 15.

Kindergarten Virtual Potluck: Tuesday, September 1st @ 5 pm via Zoom. The Kindergarten Cohort will have an opportunity to come together as a whole group for a brief welcome, and then head into breakout rooms based on their child’s teacher assignment. Kindergartners are welcome and encouraged to attend! Note: This is an informal opportunity for families to meet and get to know one another. We will not hear from the teacher or school about instruction at this time. Email for login information.

Slow Start: The first day of school for Kindergartners is Tuesday, September 8th. That week, Kindergartners will have class meetings 8:30-9:30 this first week of school.

Orientation: Orientation for Kindergarten parents will take place on Friday, September 4th from 7:55-9:00AM. This will be your chance to hear from the administrative staff about what to expect in this first year with us at Genesee Hill.
