Details: Ladies – join us for a Barre3 workout class and drinks afterwards. The best news is that it is free! All you need to do is bring a package of diapers and or wipes for a WestSide baby donation. There are only 30 spots available so sign up soon!
9/29/17 – 80’s Themed Family Skate Night
When: Friday, September 29th, 5:45-7:45pm
Where: Alki Community Center, 5817 SW Stevens Street
Come in your 80’s outfit (or not…) to join other 3rd grade families for a skate night. Alki Community Center only charges $3 per person (adults free if not skating) and have skates onsite. Plan to eat dinner beforehand.
10/28/17 – 4th Annual Parents Only Halloween Party
What: Halloween Party (parents only so lineup babysitters now)
When: Saturday, October 28th, 7 pm – 11 pm
Where: Linfords, 4512 48th Ave SW, Seattle, WA
Bring: Yourself (hopefully in costume) and a donation (at door) is appreciated, not required.
Cost: $15/person to cover drinks and pizza.
It’s almost that time of year again…our 4th Annual Parents Only Halloween Party. Please join us on Oct 28th from 7-11 pm for another year of Halloween fun. Similar to past years, we’ll have live entertainment from the DAD band, a costume contest with prizes, pizza and drinks. 2nd Annual, 2nd Grade Parents Only Halloween Party

Line your babysitters up for our 2nd annual Halloween Party at the Linford’s house. Costumes are highly encouraged (there will be prizes for best costumes) and we are asking that you bring $10 each to cover food, drinks and entertainment (the infamous DAD band will be playing).

If you haven’t been to Meeples, it’s a casual game space with a cafe serving food and drinks, including: Local beers and cider on tap, wine, organic coffee and espresso, rotating menu of sharable snacks, pastries and sandwiches and great vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Please note that you will be responsible for purchasing food/drinks for your family, but playing games will be free.

100th Day Celebration

To celebrate the 100th day of School, we are working with the teachers to do a 100th day celebration for the First Grade cohort on Friday February 20th at Schmitz Park starting at 9:50 am. The teachers have identified over 30 activities. These will be stations in the classrooms and outside that celebrate 100! The students will be able to visit all the stations/classrooms allowing them to interact with the entire first grade cohort.
On Thursday (2/19), we will need volunteers to help set up after school and on Friday (2/20) we will need over 30 volunteers to help with the stations. The teachers identified a list of supplies that will be needed. We will need these delivered to school by Thursday (2/19).

Skating and Pizza Party

Meet up with other first grade families at the Alki Community Center for a pizza dinner and skating party in the gym. We have a room reserved at the community center so we can enjoy our dinner together. The skating portion of the evening takes place as part of the regular public Friday Night Skate at the community center. Skate rental is on a first-come, first-served basis. Bring your own skates, if you’ve got ’em! For dinner, the cost is $2 per adult, and $1 per child. Skating is $3. Siblings are welcome. Gluten free pizza is available. If your family needs this option, please make a note of it on the sign up.
