As we gear up for classes we are looking for an assistant coach to work with Ms. Santana for basketball – this will allow us to accommodate more students! If you are interested email firstname.lastname@example.org. , your child may attend basketball with you for free!
We hope you’ll join us this Fall Session for the Schmitz Park After School Program, sponsored by the PTA. Classes will begin the week of September 29 and we have some exciting new offerings along with the return of some old favorites. Registration forms were emailed on Friday, September 12. The deadline to register is 3:15 pm on Friday, September 19th. Please bring forms to the office. Registrations will be processed over the weekend and you should receive email confirmations of enrollment by Tuesday, September 23rd. Enrichment registration -Fall 2014
Please note, classes will be available to 1st-5th graders only to allow kindergarteners to acclimate to their new schedule. Winter quarter classes will be open to kindergarteners.
*As always, please read the registration forms carefully: some classes are open to specific grades only, some classes have different end times.
*Classes with a stated maximum limit will be determined by lottery from the registrations submitted before the deadline. Registrations received after the due date will be processed on a first come/first served basis as space allows.

is an Early Release Day and we will be offering Art Wizards camp from 1pm – 3pm
. The cost is $25 per child.

Come join us Thursday, February 27th at 6:30pm for our monthly PTA Meeting where we still start promptly to cover Common Core Standards and then move on to our regular PTA agenda.
Some of the Hot Topics include:
- What are the Common Core State Standards?
- Why do we need them?
- How will they impact my child’s education?
- Why are they only focused on math and Language Arts?
- Will it change the way teachers teach?
- How will students be assessed?

After School Enrichment Opportunities and Early Dismissal Camps are Still Available
Early Dismissal Camps – Art Wizards and Jump Rope are being offered to families for January 15th. More information about the Art Wizards class is here.
To register, download and fill out the registration form, or pick up a paper copy in the office. Because of the quick turnaround, registrations will processed as received and confirmations will be available as quickly as possible upon receipt.
Beginning Guitar on Tuesdays – We have room for students of any age in our Beginning Guitar class on Tuesdays. Please contact Fiona if you are interested and send in the registration form to the office.
5th Grade STEM Class Opportunity – 5th grade classes will be receiving information about a special STEM class being offered in partnership with Boeing. The registration form is linked here, being sent home via email, or you can find it on the Before/After School web page.

Winter Registration for After School Enrichment is now open! The Registration Form is attached and available here or in paper copy in the office. Registrations are due in the office Tuesday, December 17th by 3 p.m.
All registrations received by the due date will have equal chances at class spots. After the due date, registrations are processed on a first come, first served, spots available basis. Winter Session is January 6- March 27. There is only a week to register for classes, which is tight, but this way families will have confirmation for classes before the break.
