PLEA TO SPS & SEA: GET BACK TO THE TABLE TO GET STUDENTS BACK TO SCHOOL

PastedGraphic-1Our goal as parents is to support our schools and have students back in class to start the 2015-2016 school year. Only by SPS and SEA reaching an agreement can that occur and it cannot happen if SPS and SEA will not negotiate. The story from each side is different than the other, but the fact remains only those with the knowledge and authority to negotiate a resolution can get our students back to school. We teach our children to use their words, and we now make the plea to both sides to use their words and resume talks. Set aside tactics, set aside hyperbole. Don’t set aside students. We ask, Superintendent Dr. Nyland superintendent@seattleschools.org and Seattle Education Association President Jonathan Knapp jknapp@washingtonea.org – please get back to the table and get our students back to school.

  1. Hi grown ups.
We are tired, TIRED, T.i.r.e.d…. Please figure out a reasonable compromise and get our kids back in school. Please talk to each other. Please put personal issues aside. Please don’t make my kids pay for your inability to communicate.
    Thank you-
    Parents across Seattle

  2. Please set a positive example for those you serve. Find a solution or enlist the help of someone who can. Action delayed is action denied! Thank you for working to put our future leaders back in school NOW.
