Our goal as parents is to support our schools and have students back in class to start the 2015-2016 school year. Only by SPS and SEA reaching an agreement can that occur and it cannot happen if SPS and SEA will not negotiate. The story from each side is different than the other, but the fact remains only those with the knowledge and authority to negotiate a resolution can get our students back to school. We teach our children to use their words, and we now make the plea to both sides to use their words and resume talks. Set aside tactics, set aside hyperbole. Don’t set aside students. We ask, Superintendent Dr. Nyland firstname.lastname@example.org and Seattle Education Association President Jonathan Knapp email@example.com – please get back to the table and get our students back to school.
